Habitat for Humanity International is a Christian organization and welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to Habitat's goal of eliminating poverty housing.



 
Women Build
Bayou Area Habitat for Humanity encourages women in our local community to take the lead in eliminating poverty housing by building homes and communities for families in need. The Women’s Build Program seeks to encourage volunteers to further the home-building mission of Bayou Area Habitat for Humanity. Bayou Area Habitat would like to thank all you who laced up your running shoes for a great cause and joined us for our "Home Run" 5K Run/Walk on April 14th at Peltier Park in Thibodaux. Proceeds will go towards building decent, affordable homes in our local community. The event was a sucess and we are looking forward to making even bigger and better next year.
 

 
The Habitat ReStore provides an environmentally and socially responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing funding for Bayou Area Habitat for Humanity’s community mission. The Habitat ReStore has a friendly, fun, community-based atmosphere. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities are available at the Habitat ReStore.
 
By assisting the staff in maintaining and improving the store’s services, volunteers turn their donated time into donated dollars to help the Habitat for Humanity cause! The Habitat ReStore has a friendly, fun, community-based atmosphere. If you would like to volunteer at our Habitat ReStore please call the office at 985-447-6999 or the ReStore at 985-447-9743.
