2010 Women Build Challenge Grant

Bayou Area Habitat for Humanity has been selected by Lowe’s Home Improvement to receive a Challenge Grant which will be used toward the construction of the affiliate’s 2010 Women Build home.

Lowe’s Home Improvement will generously donate $40,000 toward the construction of the 2010 Women Build home if the affiliate is able to raise the remaining $35,000 which is needed to complete the home by March 15th.

The Women's Build Program brings women from all walks of life together to learn construction skills and apply those skills toward ending poverty housing. The 2009 Women Build helped a single mother in need of decent affordable housing realize her dream of home ownership.

If you would like to partner with the affiliate on this project by making a secure donation please click here or contact [ Jarrett Hawkins ] at (985) 447-6999 for additional information.

We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or sources of income.
